Reto Schmidlin: Currently I manage the JB NEWO Equity Focus Mandate, a global emerging market portfolio. I have built-up and launched NEWO in 2006 and have the investment responsibility for NEWO since then. In 2001 I joined Bank Ehinger & Armand von Ernst (at that time a UBS private bank) as a senior portfolio manager for special mandates for South African, North and South American clients. In 2003 the bank merged with Julius Baer to become Switzerland's largest private bank. Prior to joining Julius Baer I held the position of Senior Portfolio Manager with the Industrial Bank of Japan (now Mizuho Bank) in Zurich, managing High Net Worth individuals' assets. Prior to that, he worked for four years in the portfolio management division of Nikko Bank, which has since been integrated into Citibank. I have 20 years of portfolio management experience and is Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) and holds the Swiss Federal Diploma for Financial Analysts and Portfolio Managers.
